Every year two charities are selected to receive the post cost profits of the race. Since 2009 we have been able to give back over $12,000 to deserving groups in the Grand Rapids community. Below you will find information about the charity partners we have selected for 2018.
Alger Heights Neighborhood Association
The annual AH5K/10K race has proven to be a great event for the neighborhood, as well as our community as a whole. The proceeds given to the AHNA have been essential in providing the necessary funds to support the quarterly newsletter, neighborhood events, National Night Out and annual operating expenses of the association; including printing costs for flyers to inform the neighborhood of events or circumstances that need to be brought to their attention. No funds go to compensate any person for their involvement with AHNA as we continue to be a volunteer board. Get involved in the Alger Heights neighborhood. Embrace the 5K/10K race; run, walk, cheer or volunteer – you won’t be sorry!

Welcome to myTEAM TRIUMPH - West Michigan Chapter! A non-profit organization started in March 2008 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are dedicated to providing the ultimate experience in road racing and triathlon sport to individuals with disabilities. These individuals would otherwise never dream of entering a race, let alone experience the energy of packet pick-up, or the thrill of crossing that finish line.
As a CAPTAIN, participants with disabilities get to do it all! They get to Captain a team of Angels through an entire race, guaranteeing them their moment of glory as they cross that finish line so many of us take for granted. Our Captains build amazing friendships with the Angels, accomplishing goals beyond their wildest dreams. When all is said & done, they end up having a once in a lifetime experience.
As an ANGEL, your ability to make available your talent as an athlete & your help in raising funds to support these events will provide lifelong memories for every Captain who could not participate in an event on their own. From the thousands of runners and triathletes who participate in the world's major races, a chosen few complete these events by pushing someone else ahead of themselves. YOU can be one of those chosen few who can cross that finish line knowing you will be helping every Captain's dream come true.
